As a Derbyshire Dales District Councillor and newly elected County Councillor for this area I am very busy with local matters from anything from bin collections to library services.
As part of my DCC responsibilities I attend many of the Parish Council and Town Council meetings in this area - the Parish Councils being the backbone of local democracy.

The Curbar, Calver and Froggatt Joint Burial Committee, which was formed in May 1969, will cease to exist on 31st March 2021 and the management of the Burial Ground in the future will be undertaken by Curbar Parish Council. The parish council received a ROSPA Safety Inspection report on the playing field which identified some rot in the timber uprights of the Climber - Tyre, therefore, it has now been removed.
